Overview

History

Outline approval for the wider site was granted in 2010 under application 08/10/0024. Nerrols Farm, now known as Northwalls Grange, had a reserved matters application approved in 2016 and has been constructed, with the final remaining units being sold on the open market. Nerrols Farm Phase 2 adjoins Phase 1 to the north, with a reserved matters application having gone in for 237 dwellings with associated works, in January 2019. The site is dual branded, between Barratt Bristol and David Wilson Homes South West.

About the Site

The site is located on the north eastern edge of Taunton, with the town centre approximately 2km from the south west of the site. The Barratt/DWH development Nerrols Farm, part of the original outline consent, is located to the south of the application site and provides the access to Nerrols Farm 2. It has been constructed.

Phase 2 land comprises agricultural farmland, and will provide 237 dwellings as a dual-branded site between Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. Barratt will be providing 89 units.
